Liquid cleansers for the face and body are much easier to use than bar soaps and they go a lot further. When washing the body, a sponge or body puff so you can build up a good lather. Liquid face and body cleansers usually won't leave behind a soap scum(that slimy slippery residue we are all familiar with). This makes cleaning the shower or tub a much easier task and because there is no residue. It is important to note however that liquid body washes and facial washes will absorb easier into the skin so be sure to read the back of the label and avoid using skin care products that contain harmful chemicals. Using liquid face cleansers will open up your pores the may have been clogged by using bar soaps.
Liquid facial cleansers may come in the form of what is known as a “skin toner”. This word is usually used in connection with acne washes. The idea behind this is to prepare the skin for acne medicines or moisturizers by removing the oils and opening up the pores. Skin toners usually have a varying degree of alcohol in them, the more the alcohol, the stronger the toner so if you have sensitive skin be careful with these as they can cause irritation to the skin.
