Home Remedy Acne Cure
Using face cleansers at home to cure acne is very effective if they are used right. Face cleanser creams, gels and washes are generally considered to be a quick fix to the problem of acne. The following is an example of using face cleansers to cure acne: There are Three main acids used as active ingredients in most face cleansers. Salicylic acid, Glycolic acid (alpha hydroxy) and Benzoyl peroxide. If you look on the ingredient list on the back of most cleansers you will see at least one of them. These three acids used by themselves, are pretty good at reducing acne breakouts but when you use all three of them in a certain procedure Wow!!! you will be amazed at the results. The follow this regimen to the letter and you will be well on your way to an acne cure.
Step#1
Salicylic Acid active ingredient- Wash with this solution first. Leave it on your skin for a minute before you wash it off. This will kill any bacteria on the face or affected area. If you have dry or sensitive skin, pick a product without "exfoliating beads" (tiny granules in lots of face washes many of which are made from plastic, are intended to buff away dead skin cells) as this can cause skin irritation and worsen acne. Warning, this acid has a bleaching affect. (note, all these cleansers must have only one active ingredient per product or they won't work as well.) Buy a face cleanser with only slacylic acid as the active ingredient.
Step#2
Glycolic Acid (Alpha Hydroxy)active ingredient- Wash with this next. This product works well as an exfoliant. Buy a product that has 8 to 10% or of this active ingredient and no other active ingredients. Apply sparingly amount. Leave it on your face for a minute or two before rinsing it off. This chemical has been found to help exfoliate, lift and strip away dead skin cells. This product can irritate sensitive skin so use care. This acid will also bleach out colors so use a towel you don't care about.
Step#3
Benzoyl Peroxide active ingredient- Remember, all these acids cannot be mixed in the same product. They must be separate in order for this to work. (note, sanitize your hands before this step so as not to transfer any bacteria to the affected area). This last product needs to be a gel or a cream, not a wash. Before you apply this solution, lay a cold pack on the affected area for one minute. This step is crucial because this will open up the pores of the skin. This will make it much easier for the medicine to get down deep to where the infected area is. Apply the cream or gel to the skin. Next lay cold pack on affected area again for ten minutes. Lastly, apply generous amount of moisturizer. Again, make sure you disinfect your hands before touching your skin. (Note if you have extra oily skin, be sure to only use "oil free", water based moisturizers.)
Note: This regimen should be done morning and night until the acne starts to clear up. It is also likely that the acne will get worse before it gets better. This makes many people give. This process takes several weeks to clear up the breakouts, depending on the severity of the acne. This regimen has an almost 90% success rate in clinical trials so why waste time experimenting with a unknown and untested homemade acne cure when this regimen has a success rate this high. As always, you should consult with your dermatologist or family physician before going on any acne regimen or treatment program.
